Windows 10: Resized pictures disappeared

I was trying to save pictures from my iPhone to a flash drive using my Windows 11 laptop. When moving the pictures I was told the files were too big to save to the drive. I decided to resize the photos using the Photo app and save them to a file on the computer before transferring to the flash drive. When this was completed I found that all the pictures had disappeared. There was a message that said " Sorry, Photos can't open this file because the format is currently unsupported, or the file is corrupted." Resizing pictures

Good morning,

I have been trying to resize pictures and having not success in doing so. I have tried using what the net has suggested and still nothing please help me with this problem. I would really appreciate it a lot.

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

I would also suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and try to resize the picture:

• Right click the image you want to resize
• Select Edit (Image will open in Paint)
• Select Resize option on the top and manually select the size as per your requirement.
