Windows 10: Resolution 1920x1200 not supported for monitor connected using DVI via Thunderbolt docking...

I have problem in Windows 11 that monitor with resolution 1920x1200 connected using DVI DVI-DP or DVI-HDMI cable via Thunderbolt docking station have maximum possible resolution to set 1680x1050.Problem is not observed in Bios or in Linux systems.I have tried many different GPU driver versions from Intel and the problem is all the time.Proper resolution can be set if monitor is connected directly using DVI-HDMI cable.My CPU have integrated Thunderbolt 4 controller i7-1365U. It is possible that there is something wrong with Thunderbolt controller driver in Windows?Connection info:USB4 Host

DVI not working on extended monitor with Surface Book docking station

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  Make sure the power light for the docking station is on
  
• 
  Make sure the monitor is getting power
  
• 
  Make sure the cable is connected properly to the monitor
  
• 
  Unplug and reconnect the Mini-DVI adapter on the back of your docking station
  
• 
  Try flipping the connector for the adapter over (turns out some adapters can go in upside-down)
  
• 
  Take the Surface out of the docking station then put it back in

Continuum display dock work with a DVI monitor?

I have a monitor to which i connected my lumia 950 with display dock. i get some kind of connection sound from mobile. but no response. I used a DV to DVI connector to connect it to my monitor.

Can you give me the detailed information of supported connections and their resolutions with refresh rate?

 

Windows 11 w/ Thunderbolt Dock incorrect display resolution.

I have reached out and spent time with Dell support, they have been unable to help, hoping for help here.

I have a Dell Precision 5560 Laptop, running windows 11, when I connect a TB dock (Dell WD19TBS) to it, with two monitors the monitors run at the wrong resolution and there is no option to change that.

If I connect the same dock/monitor setup to a Dell XPS running windows 10, it works fine.

If I connect the same dock/monitor setup to the Precision but boot into ubuntu, it works fine.

If I connect the same monitors via a USB-C dock, they work just fine.

It appears the common denominator of the issue is how windows 11 and TB are working together. Dell has tried to help, but claim since the precision 5560 came with windows 10, they can't do much to support, even though it is on their list of devices ready to upgrade to windows 11.

I have tried, multiple times, updating/uninstalling/re-installing all TB drivers and display drivers (both intel/nvidia). I suspect its TB bandwidth issue, since the resolution is maxed out at 1920x1080, when it should be 1920x1200, but that bandwidth issue only appears with windows 11.

Unfortunately I don't have another windows 11 device to try, my XPS is too old to run windows 11
