    Resolution of window applications appear very large on both the laptop screen as well as attached display. All display settings have been adjusted to show as-Recommended. Deleted the display driver and downloaded the new one - these potential answers have not resolved the issue. Please note that when I go into device manager and click on events log for "IntelR UHD Graphics, the latest events shows that "Device not started"; Problem: 0x0; Problem Status: 0XC00000E5.

    It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

    I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

  3. Windows 10 desktop resolution issue

    Welcome and thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

    I understand the inconvenience that you are unable to change the screen resolution, we will help you with this issue.

    I suggest you to update the Display Adapter Drivers

    Step 1: Update the Display Adapter driver.

    • Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapter.
    • Right on the Display Adapter and click on
      Update driver software.

    Update drivers in Windows 10


    Step 2: Please follow the below steps to change the resolution of the screen and check:

    • Type Change screen resolution in the Search
      box from the desktop.
    • Under Resolution search for the Recommended resolution and click on
      Apply.
    • A windows pops up saying "Keep these display settings", then select
      Keep changes.

    I would like to inform that, there will be a recommended resolution for all the computers, and if you select more than the recommended resolution the screen would not support for that.

    Kindly try the below steps and check.
