Windows 10: Resolve broken Bluetooth connection setup

Dear community,


I own a PC running on Windows 10 with a built-in i.e. on-board bluetooth card and I'm having problems to work with bluetooth devices.

More specifically, with two devices that have been connected while there were two bluetooth cards present.

Here's my story and to which state it brought me.


Story

I connected one of my headsets TT-BH060 and the pairing/scanning process turned out to be ridiculously slow. After minutes of scanning, my card was finally able to detect the device and paired with it. However, the connection got lost a couple of times and I was getting sick of it.

First, I connected another headset HyperX Cloud Mix. The process was just as time consuming but the connection was stable.

Then I connected a blueooth USB dongle ASUS BT-400 to check whether the card was the issue and that's where the real problems started:


The headsets were listed as paired but I were not able to connect them. Removing them didn't work. Reinstalling the bluetooth devices and drivers did not resolve the issues. Yes, many restarts have been involved.

After removing the dongle and retrying everything with just the internal card, I was able to remove the Cloud Mix as a bluetooth device. Since then, I was not able to pair it one more time as it's not even detected anymore.


I recognized that the TT-BH060 did not only show up as a bluetooth device but also as an audio device and even another option in the device manager, I can not remember which one. After removing all of them and restarting, and reinstalling 'blueooth', I was finally able to remove the device.

As for the HyperX, I can not pair it again but with a different cause "no response from the device" while pairing.


Current State

• the list of known bluetooth devices is empty
  
• the HyperX Cloud Mix is not detected in the pairing process anymore, at all
• the TT-BH060 is discovered after minutes of scanning and the pairing process cancels with "no response from the device"
• both headsets work fine on mobile phones both with paired and previously unpaired phones
• I basically have the same issues on a second machine

Questions

1. How can I debug the connection process?
   Is there anything I can do to get more information about what is going wrong? Maybe connecting manually via the PowerShell?
   
2. How can I reset the bluetooth/machine state entirely?
   I know that the devices itself are not the problem, they work with different devices. It is the machine and its state that's preventing the connection to the HyperX and its the state or the bluetooth card/settings that's preventing the TT from pairing. Is there anything, besides reinstalling all the bluetooth drivers which I did numerous times or reinstalling Windows entirely which I'd prefer not to, to reshuffle the cards on the Windows machine?

I'm a developer so feel free to get nerdy. If you need more information, please go ahead and ask.

To help you resolve your concern, kindly follow these steps:

Method 1: Run Network troubleshooting.

• On the search bar type “Troubleshooting”
• Click “Network and Internet”
• Click “ Network Adapter” and
  run the troubleshooter.

If issue persist, I suggest you to follow method 2.

Method 2: Update Network Adapter and check.

Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Network Adapter.
• Right click the driver and select Update.

If issue still persist, I suggest you to follow
method 3.
