    Resolve Install Error - 0x80070103 Windows 11 Pro


    Please help me to resolve this matter. The troubleshooting steps I see listed do not work with an updated current Surface Laptop 4.

    Install error - 0x80070103

    Windows Update keeps listing an available update, but when I run Update, I get an error: Intel - Net - 12.18.9.20 Install error - 0x80070103

    I run the Windows Update troubleshooter (the one in Windows, not the download mentioned in so many articles with the broken link), and it finds a problem, and says it fixed it, but the problem persists. I attached an image of the issues below.

    I have tried

    • uninstalling the Intel adapters in Device Manager
    • the process of renaming catroot2 and SoftwareDistribution as in this post
    • ran system file checker, it found and fixed corrupted files
    Nothing has worked.

    Hi,

    I've got a new hp laptop and when I'm running the windows update I get the following errors:

    Intel(R) Corporation - MEDIA - 10.29.0.7621

    Installation error - 0x80070103

    Intel(R) Corporation - System - 1.0.2117.0

    Installation error - 0x80070103

    I've tried the troubleshooter option for Windows Update but it offers no solution so I'm a bit stuck here.

    What can I do to resolve this?

    Any advice how to cope with this problem?
