Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: VALORANT-Win64-Shipping.exe 5176 consumed 121856487424 bytes, Voicemod.exe 16840 consumed 536285184 bytes, and RadeonSoftware.exe 8212 consumed 438607872 bytes.this is what i've been getting probably for the last year or idk...what happens is the valorant just crashes and in task manager my RAM is 98% utilized and tr

Hi There,

Issues : Low memory and resource exhaustion - Dwm.exe in windows 10

Information : Just to let you know, when I leave my computer ideal for a while and when I return to it, I get to see a Low memory message. I am on Windows 10 computer (Factory installed - Dell). I wanted to know which application is causing the issue. Opened
the Event viewer and surprisingly I found DWM.exe causing resource-Exhaustion.

Opened services.msc and could not locate desktop windows manager services. Checked in the regedit. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\EventLog\Application\Desktop
Window Manager. There is a service listed.

Things that I am requesting

• How to locate dwm.exe (desktop windows manager services) in services.msc
• How to allocate less memory to this service/ How to stop this service from eating up the entire memory
• In the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\EventLog\Application\Desktop Window Manager there are 3 things listed
  • Name : Default Type : REG_SZ Data: (Value not set)
  • Event message file Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ Data: %SystemRoot%\system32\dwm.exe
  • TypesSupported REG_DWORD Data: 7
  What can be done to stop this service from the Regedit.
  

Note: Dell Replaced the entire machine and this is a second computer(Same issue). So, could not be a problem with the physical memory modules. Increased Virtual memory and that did not work either.

Let's resolve the resource exhaustion issue in Windows 11.

Let's increase the virtual memory, go to Settings > System > About, click "Advanced system settings" and then "Settings" in the Performance section, in the "Advanced" tab, click "Change" in the Virtual Memory section. Uncheck "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives."

Select your main drive (usually C and choose "Custom Size". Set a larger value for the initial size and maximum size. A good practice is to set the initial size equal to the RAM size and the maximum size twice the amount of RAM, click "Set" and then "OK".

Another thing too, open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc). In the "Processes" tab, observe which programs are consuming a lot of memory. If Chrome is consuming a lot of memory, consider reducing the number of tabs you have open or using fewer extensions.

Make sure all system drivers are up to date, especially graphics and chipset drivers. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for pending updates. Install all available updates.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
