  1. Resource Monitor-CPU-Associated Modules are not listed for Windows Services

I have been using Resource Monitor launched from the Task Manager Performance Tab, as part of an issue investigation, to obtain the list of Associated Modules loaded into our systems running applications. I wanted to perform the same on some of our systems windows services, however when I select the image associated with the windows service and then view the Associated Modules the list is empty. I am wondering if this resource monitoring capability is limited when a selected image is a windows service, or if there is something I am just not understanding.

    :)

  2. Resource Monitor shows CPU busy but not in list of processes or services

I have 64-bit Windows 10 Pro Creators Update, version 1703 running on an HP Envy with an i7 processor and 8Gb RAM.

I have been having problems with Windows responding very slowly, but when I look in Task Manager, nothing seems to be using the CPU. However, when I look in Resource Monitor, the overall CPU graph is almost maxing out, and CPU 7 in particular is very active,
typically appearing to reach 50%. However, when I sort the lists of processes and services, none of them are running on CPU 7. Is it possible for a virus to monopolise one or more cores and to exclude itself from reporting in Task Manager and Resource Monitor?

  3. Resource Monitor shows CPU busy but not in list of processes or services

    Hi

I realised that I misunderstood what I was seeing in the Resource Monitor. The column headed 'CPU' which shows integer numbers is in fact '%CPU' and shows the percentage of the CPU that the process or service is using. So the fact that '7' is not appearing
doesn't mean that there are hidden processes running on CPU 7.

I may have a look at optimising performance using the size of the virtual memory, but that is not the issue that I was concerned about.

    Regards

    Simon

How to control CPU usage of Sensor Services

    Hello,
    .
I have a little netbook/tablet with 2G of RAM. I found these services taking up a total of 40% to over 50% of my CPU's resources They are neccessary for things like sensing rotation (using as a tablet) and other things. They are:
    • Sensor Service
    • Sensor Data Service
    • Sensor Monitoring Service

Can I configure the CPU usage or sensor frequency without disabling the service?
