    Respondus in Windows 10 Version 2004


    I am currently running Windows 10 version 2004. For my remote class, I am required to install the Respondus Lockdown Browser. Unfortunately, it does not work. The error I get is "InstallShield setup launched but seems to have closed without finishing."


    I already contacted the school IT help desk and they said another student was having the same issue on the same Windows 10 version.


    As of right now, I found a temporary solution to use an old Windows 7 laptop which works completely fine.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Respondus Lockdown Browser

    I cannot get respondus lockdown browser to install on my computer. It keeps comming back with a default error. When I click on it , stops installing the program. This is a lock down browser for taking test online. I am running windows 10 upgrade from windows
    8. Now running windows 10 home version. The computer is a HP> laptop
