    Tried to hop on my computer this morning only to be greeted with the "restart and select proper boot or insert boot and press key" message. Tried to look up how to fix this but nothing online matches the screen on my pc. Using a 2014 acer computer with windows 8.1. Boot options:

    I believe this is a Windows 10 volume 5 problem

    How To Fix

    • Restart your computer.
    • Press the necessary key to open BIOS menu. ...
    • Go to the Boot tab.
    • Change the boot order and list your computer's HDD first. ...
    • Save the settings.
    • Restart your computer.

    If you get a screen with options saying WINDOWS 10 VOLUME 2/ VOLUME 5

    - PRESS VOLUME 5

    you computer should bring you top your home desktop

    So I installed Version 22H2 windows 11 and when my pc restarted it came up with the following message: reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. After some research I pressed my bios key, f12 but no bios settings the only thing that happened was the text didn't copy below like it did for the other keys. Only f11 had the same effect. How can I fix this?
