  1. Restart Prompt to delete local disk

Every time I restart or turn on my laptop, I get a UAC-type window coming up that says

    "Folder Access Denied

You'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this folder

    Local Disk

    Space free: xxxGB

    Total size: xxxGB"

I've checked my antivirus and malware and they are up-to-date, complete drive scans from both yield no results.

What is trying to delete my local disk?

    :)

  2. Prompt to delete Local Disk on login

I've occasionally received a UAC prompt to delete the Local Disk.

-> The prompt actually refers to deleting a folder rather than the local disk (which is probably just as well . . .)Even though your malware search was negative, I still suspect
malware. Maybe this method will unearth something. While the UAC prompt is visible on the screen, please do this:

    1. Mark the code line below, then press Ctrl+C to copy it.
    2. Press the Windows key + R, then Ctrl+V to paste the code line.
    3. Press Enter.
    4. Open the desktop file Tasks.txt.
    5. Copy & paste its contents into your reply.

    cmd /c tasklist > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\Tasks.txt" & pause

  4. Restart Prompt to delete local disk

Disk management console view is not up-to-date

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...

open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)

    enter in
    DISKPART
    list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
    type in

    Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
    ASSIGN

that should get the array up and running ready to use.

    EDITED.

    any problems, post back ^^

Still EDITING *Stick Out Tongue Restart Prompt to delete local disk :p

side question, have you tried restarting the PC?
