Windows 10: Restart Required: Xvdd SCSI Miniport

Hello,

Just today I got a notification that said:


Restart Required

Your PC Needs to be restarted to finish setting up this device

Xvdd SCSI Miniport


This seems very suspicious to me. I have made no hardware changes in over 4 months. I do not have any SCSI devices connected to my computer. As far as I can tell, my Motherboard doesn't have any dedicated hardware to support SCSI either. I did a thurough search online for what the Xvdd scsi miniport driver even was, and came up with virtually nothing. Can anyone tell me what this is and why it would want to install on my computer?


A windows defender system scan as well as a Kaspersky full scan both came back negative.

Video Card: Radeon R9 390

Hard Drives: 1x nVme 500gb SSD, 1x SATA 500gb SSD, 1x SATA 1TB HD.

That is exactly my point,I cannot get rid of the storage driver + filter driver and can only guess that the Xbox (Beta) APP installed these, however I have long uninstalled it and the stuff is persistent, cannot be removed i.e. keeps coming back.

Ah I do not have Xbox Games Pass yet!
I have same XVDD Scsi Miniport in my Device Manager and Driver here below... I have try uninstall this but it will come back. I sure it for Gaming Services so Your is Beta I not sure!!

XVDD Scsi Miniport & FS HSM Filter







I seem not be able to get rid of the phantom installed Storage driver XVDD SCSI Miniport
and some associated Filesystem Filter both signed Xbox.

It is probably the XBOX (Beta) App from the store that installed these without asking and now even
after uninstalling it the driver keep reinstalling themselves after removal.

Any ideas?
