Windows 10: Restarted my of because of flashing white screen, pc now boots up and goes too black...

Screen flashes black and white after update.

A few days ago, windows (10) gave me the info that a update is available for me. So after downloading the update, installing and rebooting the update, my PC restarted (as planned). After the restart, the windows logo showed including the spinning ring.
After a few seconds the screen goes black and white and black and white and black and white, mouse icon showed up, pc restarted and the whole mess started anew.

Any ideas ??

 

Computer won't boot (black screen, white underscore)

My computer is no longer booting up, could you help me please?

I was looking at a website on Firefox, and noted my computer seemed to be freezing up as I couldn't move the mouse cursor. I couldn't do a reset via normal means because everything was locked up, so I hard reset my pc by holding down the power button.

Now, I am getting a black screen when I turn my machine on. The screen is black with a white underscore in the top left. The underscore isn't flashing, and my system seems to periodically restart as my monitor turns off every minute or so, then comes back to the same black screen. It doesn't show a windows opening screen or give me an option to hit f11 or delete to go to my bios and boot from a USB. It just goes to a black screen immediately with no other options.

I've tried to restart the computer 3 times to get it into recovery mode to boot from usb, but this doesn't seem to work either. Is there anything you can suggest please?

 

Boot to flashing black and white screen...then stopped


This is weird. I rebooted and the windows logo showed up but then it went to a flashing black and white screen. I rebooted a few times and the same thing.

Then I tried F8 while booting (thinking that would get me to safe mode) and it booted fine. BUT, it didn't look like it went to safe mode (not sure if it is obvious in Win10 since I haven't booted to safe mode yet). I rebooted a few more times and all OK.

But it has me worried. What the heck?
