    Restarting file explorer to fix the taskbar showing in fullscreen only works temporarily


    My taskbar stops working and some of the keys on my keyboard stop working mostly when I have a fullscreen application. Restarting file explorer fixies this, but then it just happens again, what do I do?

    Hi guys, this is an EASY FIX. Here's what you do:

    1.) Open Task Manager (Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE at the same time)
    2.) Right click of the file named "Windows Explorer"
    3.) Click "restart"
    4.) Enjoy the taskbar no longer impeding on your full screen!

    Taskbar not showing in a fullscreen game

    Hi Koshu. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

    Right click Start button to open Task Manager, show More Details, then choose Processes tab, scroll down to Windows Processes, then further down almost to the bottom to Windows Explorer. Right click to Restart Explorer, then Restart PC.

    • Click the Start Menu.
    • Right-click File Explorer.
    • Choose Pin to taskbar.
