    Restore and Backup

    Hello Friends.

Recently and I think since the last update to win10 version 1909 x64, it seems I have lost all together the ability to make any type of Backup system, HDrives, or any restore points. Not even AOMEI Backupper can do any backup on my PC.

What I get is "unexpected page error 81000203" and it does not display any available drives to chose from and configure the restore points/drives. this is what I get>> Restore and Backup c62a3e9f-fd5c-4729-9390-61091a05543d?upload=true.jpg

I have made sure the 2 Shadow copy services are automatic and started. I have NO Turbo or utility apps, I have chkdsk /f the drives, No problems there, have checked for malware again no problems, tried to switch OFF Ransomware in case it was stopping the writing on the disks. Tried SFC /scannow. All with no result. Perhaps is a problem with this new update, I don't know.

Please someone help if you know.

    Thank you.

    John

    :)

    Free hard drive backup/restore program?

I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

  3. Free hard drive backup/restore program?

Obviously you're looking for something besides your Xp Pro utility that does this?

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

      Restore and Backup [IMG]
    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
