Windows 10: Restore Files in File History not working

On July 12, I activated File History and set it to backup Daily. Since then I made changes to a document on July 13 and again on July 14 for testing purposes, but when I went to restore an earlier version of that document on July 14 I only saw the July 12 version. I then changed the setting to Backup Every 10 min. Then when I went to Restore awhile later, I saw the July 12 & July 14 versions, but not the July 13 version.
What happened to July 13 version?
Why did I not see July 13 & July 14 versions when it was set to Backup Daily?
What's up with this "This version can't be previewed" note?

Restore Files using File History not working because of different username

Windows 10 completely crashed and had to be reinstalled. When reinstalling with the help of the wonderful people at my hardware vendor, I selected a user name of the computer. Now I am trying to use Restore my files from File History that I have scrupulously
kept, and the restore function cannot find my files on my external hard drive. I read an earlier comment from a user who had the same situation and found he/she had to ensure the user name was the same as the previous user name. He/she created a new user name
to accomplish this. I have no idea how to do this and can't figure it out. I desperately need help to restore my files.

There have been reports that users couldn't break files out of the File History database or they weren't found, so this is reassuring.
