    Restore Fn+F9 functionality


    Lately I've been having issues while typing, where the palm of my hand is doing things with the mousepad. It used to be that I coudl hit Fn+F9 and it would disable the mousepad, but that no longer works. How can I get it to work again? I want to be able to toggle the mouspad on/off with Fn+F9 like the machine was designed to do.

    Exact same problem. Except my all of my 'fn' (function) keys were working, then suddenly the Fn+F9 stopped. I've uninstalled the drivers and hardware, updated drivers, disabled the hardware, specifically the touch pad in question. It still works, but i
    can't disable it, not even while typing.

    I'm having the same problem, only Fn + F9 no longer disables the touchpad. The other hotkey functions continue to work as expected. My search results have suggested several "fixes" that do not fix the problem. It appears good old Microsoft has broken
    this feature with Win 10 so that the touchpad and Smart Gesture feature does not operate as it used to, as well as the hotkey combo. I have found no fixes on my searches for info. It traces back to MS and their Win 10 updates. Once again breaking stuff that
    worked fine prior to an "update". :-(

    ASUS Fn + F9 not working

    Hey guys I found the fix for the fn f9 hotkey problem.

    Program Files (x86) /Asus Smart Gesture/ AdTPCenter/x64/AsusTPLauncher.exe

    DO NOT OPEN AsusTPLauncher.exe

    Right click and select troubleshoot compatibility

    click TRY RECOMMENDED SETTING

    click test

    click next

    then save setting

    try the fn f9 hotkey. it should work like a charm
