  1. Restore HDD, after copy all my folders have the same date

I have a new system. And I used my old hdd to copy my library (pictures etc).
All my files kept the right date. But all my folders: date modified, date created are all the same date. *Mad
Would have that happened if I would have made a backup and restore with macrium?
And is it possible to fix?

    :)

    Suddenly all messages got deleted!

Use a usb card reader, windows will assign it a letter when plugged in. Before using Recuva, copy the entire card to a folder on HDD. If after trying Recuva and it is still not solved, delete everything on the card and restore it from the HDD copy you did
and try it in the phone again.

If no joy still then format the card using the phone and try restoring from the copy again.

  3. File copied to hdd doesn't show in explorer

I recently copied a folder with photos and videos, approx 45gb, from a notebook running windows 7 ultimate (32 bit), to a hdd that I removed from another notebook running windows 10 home (32 bit), when I refitted the hdd to the notebook, the folder does
    not show.

I had the hdd in an enclosure, connected through usb, and checked to make sure it had copied correctly - opened 3 or 4 files, before safely removing. I have since removed the hdd again, and connected to another notebook running windows 10 home (64 bit),
using the same enclosure etc. When opened, the hdd shows all the same files it showed when connected to windows 7 notebook, except for the copied folder.

The hdd is showing around 45gb less space, so the folder must be there, I have settings set to show hidden files/folders, and the folder was copied straight into C: so I can't work out why I can't see it anywhere.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Restore HDD, after copy all my folders have the same date

If they are all the same date as the time you copied them, that may be the reason, the folders may have been recreated while the files inside weren't. However, I'm not 100% sure.
For reference, I used Macrium to backup my entire windows installation and move it to a non-dying HDD and I can see files from 2008, and the folders dates are from before I backed it up, when they were originally made, so to answer your first question, I think they would keep the same dates.

As for the second question, (How to fix Date Modified from showing the same date for all of my - Microsoft Community) according to this response to something relatively similar (although this is specifically Favorites by installing an updated browser) It seems like this is supposed to happen if you did it the way you did, however, you can check what Locutys said on the Answer said and hope it works for you. Best of luck.

Yeah, that's been the downside of File Explorer and Windows Explorer for a few/several versions of Windows that Copying or Moving Folders to a different drive or location gives them the current/creation date as shown in the Notification Area. Due to the interaction of Internet Explorer with Windows the same will happen there and may happen in other programs. Lots of folks don't like that. One can use a third-party file manager such as Total Commander [paid for] or Free Commander to make some changes. I just checked Total Commander and changed a Folder date by one day, works.

  6. In total commander, if I put the drive that have the right dates on one side and the bad date on the other side, can he make the change to get the right dates? If yes how?

Use the command RoboCopy to copy the folders & files and the folders will retain their correct modified date.
