    I did a clean install of windows and I wanted to restore the computer back to a restore point I had but each time I select “restore from another device” it instead sets up my pc as a new device instead of as the device I selected it to be restored from. None of my apps or files are there anymore. Instead everything is wiped as if I have never used the computer before and I’ve tried it multiple times to the same result. How do I get it to restore as my old pc again?

    Windows XP PRO error after restore

    System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

    Internet Explorer 11; Windows 10....Stopped Working

    IE11; Windows 10. For the past 2 weeks when I open IE11 I get Internet Explorer has Stopped working POPUP message rendering IE 11 unusable.

    I have followed suggested Fixes by "Resetting" IE11; Use Software Rendering...is NOT checked. I have tried to use "System Restore" and go back to a Restore Point prior to 2 weeks but, I get unable to restore to xx/xx/xxxx because the process cannot file iexplorer.exe.

    I have tried several Restore Points...get this same result.

    I cannot fine the Internet 11 Install Update to delete it as it is not in the list History\Installed Updates.

    Surely there must be away to fix IE 11...I have run out of things to do...suggestions with steps will be appreciated.

    Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


    In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
    I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
