Windows 10: Restore point cannot be configured or created after C drive recovery

An application issue caused by either bad information or a corruption in the registry led me to recover the C drive of my PC from a 3 week old backup. The recovery was successful and the application issue was resolved.However, checking the restore point configuration, it was set at 0% usage and I could not configure a usage space or create one: each time I tried, a got the same error message by clicking either OK or apply buttons in the related advanced system setting page. Hi Eddie,

Click your Start Button, then just type restore

Choose .Create a Restore Point. from the resulting list

If System Restore is not turned on, click your C Drive and choose Configure

Then you can create a manual Restore Point

Select 'Create a Restore Point' form the resulting list

If on the resulting dialog, your C drive is reporting as 'Off' select the C drive and click Configure

Then, set the slider to approx 6GB

Once System Restore is configured on your C Drive, click @Create' to create a Restore Point . . .
