Windows 10: RESTORE POINTS TAKING BIG AMOUNT OF SPACE

The list of restore points is not being shown when I type VSSAdmin /list shadowscommand in command prompt as well as powershell.I want to know this because I think that these restore points are taking a hell lot of space on my pc....One more question that are these system restore points temporary? Do they get deleted on their after certain time for newer ones? And if yes then for how long the old system restore points remain on a system....Please answer and yes I am not so techy so please explain fully ! THANKS AND REGARDS

1. 'Disk Space Usage' box clearly states "older restore points will be deleted to make room for new ones" but this is not happening.

2. Step 1 should have deleted all restore points but Step 2 suggests that it had found "older restore points".

User settings are being ignored by Windows? Maybe a Windows 10 bug?

Not a big problem. Just another annoyance. I'll just have to manually delete RPs from time to time I think.

Configure System Restore \ Configure

4% (9.50 GB) disk space is allocated for Restore Points but ‘Current Usage’ is 11.17 GB. See photo1.

Step 1 - Clicked on ‘Delete’ for ‘Delete all restore points for this drive’.

Step 2 - To check again I repeated step 1 and popup (photo 2) showed so clicked on ‘Yes’.

Question 1 - Is this normal Windows 10 behaviour? Maybe Windows 10 putting security first and overriding user settings?

Question 2 - Is my disk space setting too low at 4% (9.50 GB)?
