    Restore previous boot drive in windows 10?


    Hi there.I installed a new SSD into my PC in January and cloned my current HDD onto it. I set the SSD as my bootable drive in the BIOS and all was good. Today I flashed the BIOS firmware and tried enabling secure boot etc. ready for windows 11. I also ran a windows memory diagnostic which booted me into safe mode. Since then, the PC will only boot to the old HDD still installed. The new SSD is recognized but has been reassigned as D: drive. How do I reassign the SDD as my primary Boot/ C: drive? All BIOS settings point to the SSD as the primary bootable drive. Thanks!

    Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


    In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
    I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
