Windows 10: Restore printer settings

I]ve suffered fom the known issue of Windows 11 and scanning. I have a new HP Pavllion pc and a HP OfficeJet pro 7720 printer I've eventaully managed to make the advised adjustments and scan is now working BUT my printer is churning out rubbish avery 20 minutes or so even though the print queue is empty It contains things such as HOST :localhost POST / ipp print HTTP/1:1 If I want to print anything I have to print then I select 'Print' than must stop and start the spooler otherwise the doc keeps on spooling PLEASE help to sort out this mess. I was so excited buy a new pc an

To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps: CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the printer settings and check if it helps.

• In the search box, type as “settings”.
• Go to “settings” and select “devices”.
• Click on “printers and scanners” option on the left hand side.
• You will find all your printers listed on the screen, below that there is an option
  “Let Windows manage my default printer”.
• I suggest you to turn “OFF” the option “When turned on, the default printer is the last used printer”.
• Now check whether you can choose the other printers or not.

how do i change disconnected setting to connected setting on my printer

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.
• Click on Hardware and Sound.
• Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.
