Windows 10: Restore User Documents Missing After Last Windows Upgrade

Last month when I was out of town Microsoft updating my Window 10 environment with their latest fix pack.


When I signed on for the first time I noticed ALL of my documents, downloads, etc. were "missing". I have read the answers to other people having the same problem and have performed all of the steps e.g.: Reboot 4+ times in a row, Create another User ID and copy but they all fail. I have rebooted a half-dozen times this morning but the "DESKTOP", etc. is still the same. I went to SETTING -> ACCOUNTS -> SYNC YOUR SETTINGS and I receive the "YOU ARE LOGGED ON WITH A TEMPORARY PROFILE. ROAMING OPTIONS ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE".


So, my next step was to create a new ADMINISTRATIVE user on my PC ... Did that but when I reboot I am only presented with my current User-ID to sign on the system Yes, it's tied to my Microsoft account. I have a lot of work files on this system and I need access to them not mention my desktop where I have a ton of work related shortcuts. Also, I have several TEMP folders in the USERS directory.


So, my questions are:


1. Is there a way to reset a user from TEMP?

2. How do I define a second user and sign on to it after I reboot?

3. Is there any other option to get "normal" access to my user files BEFORE they are deleted my Windows?


I've been trying to get this resolved for several days and I would sincerely appreciate any immediate help.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

User Account Missing after upgrading to Windows 10

User account not available issue may occur when your lost User account is not a part of any group. Therefore, I would suggest you follow the given steps and see if it helps:

• On the Search bar type “cmd” and
  click ctrl + shift + Enter to open the Elevated Command Prompt.
• Type the following command: net localgroup “Administrators” [Computer Name]\[Missing User] /add

Regarding Kaspersky not compatible, Since we do not deal with third party applications I would suggest contact the third party application manufacturer about the issue.

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.
