Windows 10: restore ?

Discus and support restore ? in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I had to do a restore on my laptop to the factory settings WIN 8.     I had to do a restore on my laptop to the factory settings WIN 8. I had done an free upgrade to WIN 10.How to I upgrade back to WIN 10 at no cost?

    Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


    In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
    I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.

    windows xp duel boot with vista restore points

    Turn off system restore in XP altogether...or if you dont want to, AsRocks suggestion should work :\

    Hi Terrie,

    To address your concern, we suggest that you try to undo the restore or pick another restore point.

    Please follow these steps to access system restore:

    • Right-click (or press and hold) the Start button, and then select Control Panel.
    • Search Control Panel for Recovery.
    • Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.

    Let us know how it goes.
