Windows 10: restoring address book

If I switch from Windows 10 Mail to Windows Live Mail, will that restore direct access to my address book contacts? Or would Thunderbird do it? I'm getting tired of W10 mail's cumbersome process for addressing emails

Outlook Address book

Windows 10 upgrade totally crashed my computer and it took experts 2 days to fix the problem and restore many lost programs. However, when Outlook was restored I completely lost my address book, with hundreds of addresses. THIS IS THE 2nd TIME THIS HAS
HAPPENED! Is there any way I can get my lost address book back?

 

Restoring the Backup files

Unfortunately, the Noki software is not free and the freeware version has some limitation (address book recovery up to 50 adresses only), so for me still not solving the problem, then fortunately, somebody has posted his way of recovering the address book
(but not for others - like -settings, messages, etc) by using Nokia_Contact_transfer application.

So, after I execute the application, I manage to restore all my address book (300 over, gosh...).



For me at the moment the contact adress is more important...



Hope this would helps you guys who are struggling to restore the address book

(then we may need to ask Nokia, what's the purpose of having backup if its software could not do the restore????)

 

Didn't get any replies to this so I went ahead and installed Windows Live Mail as my default mail. It works fine and I now have an address book again.
