Windows 10: Restoring Old Back to a new Laptop!

Hey! My laptop was recently stolen and I've since purchased a new one. My laptop automatically backed up a few days before hand, and I am wondering If there is any way to locate that back up and restore on my new pc. I have no idea where it backed up to, one drive maybe? I don't really know. I can still log in to my Microsoft account and see it on there, but I'm thinking the culprit must have wiped it before connecting it online because it hasn't been online since. Any help would be great! thanks

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

• Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
• Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
• click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
  
  
  
• Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
• Boot up with your new HD.

 

can't restore files to a new laptop using file history.

The path of the drive may differ from the new laptop to the old laptop. It depends on where you plugged in the external hard drive. At this point, we'd like to ask the following to assist you better:

• Was the hard drive before a storage drive only or a main hard drive of a computer?
• What type of files were you trying to restore?
• Can you please send screenshots of how you restore your files? Blur any personal information for your security.
  
• To avoid repetition, can you provide us with all the troubleshooting steps that you've done so far?
