Windows 10: Restoring Outlook

Hello!

During one of your Windows 10 "Updates" you lobotomized my computer and didn't even warn me. Most everything is gone or unworkable. I have three important questions:


1.) How do I open up Outlook? I admit that I have misplaced the correct password. How do I set up another one?


2.) How do I find my Outlook address book that took me so long to build as well as the thousands of pictures, hundreds of documents, and hundreds of songs that seemed to have disappeared?


3.) How can I prevent any Windows 10 "updates" unless I approve them?


Please help me to get these critical problems solved. I appreciate any help that you may offer. Ironically, I will use my cell phone's Outlook app to read your reply because the one on my desk-top computer won't work. Like I said, I appreciate any help that you can offer.

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

 

How to install outlook express on windows xp with explorer 8?

This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.

 

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
   
   
   
4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
5. Boot up with your new HD.
