Windows 10: Restoring windows are taking too long and I'm worried!

I have read that restoring the windows only takes a couple of minutes or hours. However, mine is already days have passed since I restore it. I know that the restoring process got stuck and I'm aware as well that my computer has a lot of files on it. I would like to ask for any suggestions as to what should I do with this case? What safe processes or steps I should try?

How long does a system restore take?

How long does it take to restore Windows 10. I spent a good portion of the day trying to restore my wife's PC because ya'll insisted on giving her Edge with you latest update and destroyed all her favorites. So far I'm on my third try and haven't been
successful yet.

1. Ran system restore for over an hour. No luck because I forgot to turn off Malwarebytes.
2. Ran system restore for over an hour. No luck because I forgot to turn off Defender.
3. Been running for an hour now and it ain’t done anything. It’s still initializing and now it says it's restoring the registry.

How much longer and how many more "gotcha's" do I have to overcome to get back her favorites and get rid of Edge?

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

 

System Restore taking too long..

Hello everyone and thank you for your time/attention.

I have a question regarding system restore.. how long does it usually take? because mines have been restoring for about 2 hours now.. This is odd to me because I recently made a restore point(3 hours ago)and used it to restore my computer back so I didn't
think it would take this long.

Did my computer freeze? The loading animation is still going and it says "Pease wait while your Windows files and settings are being restored. System Restore is restoring the registry.. ".
