Windows 10: Retail CD keys used on other computers

I have 2 retail cd keys education and enterprise that I can no longer use as they say they are in use on other devices. The education one I know which computer its on and I did a slmgr /upk and unlicensed the edu version and formatted the computer and put the OEM version and verified it shows windows 10 home edition.I've tried to move these licenses over to a new computer but still can not install them as they are saying they are in use elsewhere. I cant find anywhere on my account that the keys are associated with to remove the device? how do I need to handle this so I can use the keys agai

how to copy files from the CD to the Computer drive

I would suggest you to follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows key + X.
  
• 
  Click file explorer from the list.
  
• 
  Select the CD/DVD drive and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Select the files you want to copy from the CD/DVD, then select the drive where you want to paste or save.

CD drive error

1) Close all open programs
2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter
3) Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
4) This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

UpperFilters
LowerFilters
UpperFilters.bak
LowerFilters.bak
5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete
6) After deleting the keys, close the Registry Editor
7) Reboot your computer
8) Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

And it likely has something to do with the emulated drive you have listed there.

 

Borderlands cd key on g2play

After some discussion about this subject on another forum post, the Steam version of Borderlands does not have a CD key. We also believe the retail physical copy does not have a CD key and uses a "disk in use" security scheme (meaning the disk has to be in to play). I will verify the Retail CD key tonight with a stop at Wally World and post later.

If you want to buy the game I say go with Steam, especially if you already have other Steam games. I have also seen this game pirated and there was not keygen or key hack. I will not say how security was compromised because I do not condone such activity.

Basically what I am saying is it is a scam, but not in the fact they will not provide the game as promised. It is the fact they are charging you fee for a product (the CD key in this case) that does not exist.
