    Retrieving documents from an old laptop


    Hi there! So I have a bit of a situation. In the past year I've switched from a laptop to a desktop. I've forgotten the password to the laptop and don't have any sort reset disk. Normally I wouldn't care as I don't use the laptop anymore. However, I'm writing a novel and have discovered that during my transition from laptop to desktop, I misplaced several major files. I'm afraid they might still be on my laptop and I desperately need them. Is there any way I can retrieve them even though I don't have the password?

    Yes, that would be a favorable solution if possible. But it requires what I said as a first step. Once he gets booted into the OS, then he can either use it as is or try to recover the product key. I'm not saying he couldn't do what you said, I was replying to another post that suggested simply copy/pasting documents from the old hard drive.

    Yeah this is good suggestions here with your old laptop but i just want to say you that you should replace your old laptop with any new laptop by exchanging the old one and i think this is the best opinion for you ....
