Windows 10: Revert back to original windows key

Hi, i have a problem.I had a windows key activated and switched it and i was wondering if i without the original code or the 5 digits shown in settings could acess it. and if so if its possible to reverse what i have done. For extra information it isnt the one that came with the motherboard and i believe it was a digital one but im not sure as i bought this pc with windows already installed.Thanks for your help!

Reverting to Original Windows Key on Laptop: Expired Windows Pro Key Issue

I have a laptop with built-in Windows. Initially, I applied a different Windows Pro key, but it's now expiring. How can I revert to using the original Windows key that came with the laptop?

Issue with reverting back to Windows 8

I suggest you try to revert back to the previous operating system from Windows Recovery Environment and check if it helps:

Follow the steps:

• Log out and go to the sign in screen.
• Hold down the shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Power button on the screen
• Continue to hold down the shift key while clicking Restart
• Continue to hold down the shift key until the Advanced Recovery Options menu appears
• Click Troubleshoot
• Click Advanced options
• Click Go back to the previous version of Windows
