Windows 10: Revert back to Win 7

I had reloaded Win 7 just prior to my upgrade to WIN10. Dont normally like to do an upgradebut I was pretty sure it was still clean. So on 2/14/16 id did the upgrade so I'm in the 30 day timeframe if that makes any difference. I just don't really like WIN 10.

I did a Acrtonis backup of Win 7 b/4 I did the upgrade &it is on my backup HD. I have the OldWin in my C drive but it looks like the opinion on the Forum is to use a backuplike Acronis rather than the old Win file I have in the C drive now. OK, so how do I reformat the C drive or do Ineed to reformat before I get Acronis toreload my OSP of Win 7 & do I need to do anything else. I have a separate backup HD inside my PC thathas all my files, downloaded programs etc and other important Data on it, my"C" drive is used for my OSP & programs only.

Boot from Acronis recovery usb stick.

Select backup image.

Restore image.

No need to do anything first to C drive.

Many guides on web how to use Acronis.

 

?, Currently the backup (Acronis) is on my Back WD 1TB HD, same thing or same procedure as using the stick? Will it just format the "C" drive and remove Win 10 then put Win 7 back on the "C" drive? So after installing the backup Win7 OS this will be just like buying a new car, get in and drive off since everyth

Do you mean by the usb recovery drive my Western Digital HD?

What is the Acronis usb recovery stick, something I have to make? I only have a Sandisk 16GB stick, not big enough is it? The Acronis backup is 25.7GB on my Western Digital HD.

With tools like acronis, you need a separate recovery drive (usb stick or dvd).

This drive contains the software to restore the image, and you have to boot from it to do restore.

This drive has to be created using Acronis. You can install Acronis on Windows 10 to create Recovery drive.

The easy way to go back to Win 7.

I went to Google and found a you tube video that gave the steps to do it. Overall took just a few minute, worked perfectly. Couldn't believe that I was looking at Win 7 so soon & working just like it was before the upgrade. One of a few things that Microsoft has gotten right.
