Windows 10: Revert to windows.old?

my laptop had a power interruption and couldnt boot afterwards. I tried the windows 10 recovery disc but that still didnt fix it.


So i downloaded the windows 10 installation tool and tried that.


i now have a fresh, bootable but very empty Windows 10 installation (64bit).


I notice the windows.old folder still has all my old stuff (data, program files, downloads, basically everything)



is there a way of reverting to my old installation? I read some articles about how to revert to previous versions of windows but that isnt my case. Im trying to revert to a previous instance of the same version.


is it possible? It would save me hours of reinstalling all my apps and settings!


I am running windows 10 64 bit with all the latest updates.


any advice much appreciated.

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

User name keeps reverting back to old one after every log in
