Windows 10: Reverting to Microsoft 10 from Microsoft 11

After converting to MS 11 on my Surface Pro 7, I learned the hard way that at least one important application, Quicken Deluxe, does not work most of the time on 11, even after multiple patches by Quicken and updates by Microsoft. So I gave up and reverted to Windows 10 -- Quicken works fine again. Here's the problem, now every time I go to shut off or reboot my computer, the system asks me to "update" which means if I say "yes," the computer reinstalls Windows 11. Besides the obvious answer of simply not updating, does this mean I am forever unable to keep my version of Windows 10 updat

it would've been great if microsoft added HEVC decoders, LAV filters along with other codecs with Windows 10, and developing WMP to be better than VLC, KMPlayer and such sorts of media players.

Nevertheless, this is good step for microsoft, by far.

 

Microsoft signals end of Paint program

Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.

Fun fact for those thinking "11" will fix this:

There is no 11, and never will be. Microsoft has stated several times 10 is the last Windows, and is pretty much a rolling release.
