    Revisising can cortana close apps using Javascript


    I have seen 2 youtube videos in which people combined Cortana with Javascript to make custom commands. I tried to follow the instructions but I had mixed results and never complexity got it working.

    1. I have not been able to find the YouTube video in which you can get Cortana to use Javascript to close apps.

    2. If I were to try to incorporate the two together where should I begin?


    I have some working Javascript that can close programs, in this case, Firefox and Photoshop, but getting Cortana to run the script does not work.

    Hello Devin,

    There are several workarounds that we can perform for us to troubleshoot the problem with your
    Cortana on your Android device. In the meantime, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • On your Android device, open Settings.
    • Go to Application Manager.
    • Select the Cortana app.
    • Tap on Clear Cache.
    • Reset your device.

    Let us know if the these steps resolve the issue.
