Windows 10: Ridiculous lock out method. Locked out after one wrong attempt

this has happened multiple times where i make one wrong attempt and im locked out of my computer. what is even more ridiculous is the fact that in order to try again, i need to keep my computer on for 2 hours which means i must move my mousepad every five minutes to stop my computer from turning off and resetting the 2 hour timer. i have an important assignment due in a few days and now ive just lost 2 hours of time that i had to work on it because of this stupid system that i am yet to find a way to bypass.

Is there any Browser locking software to lock down browsers?

I did try that, it only locks the password manager as far as I can tell, there are no settings to keep the browser itself from opening and being used. So I'm not sure what the article is explaining.

• Is this issue occurs only when the pictures are set from OneDrive?

I suggest you to set the picture for the lock screen using the default lock screen pictures and check whether the issue persist or not, follow the below steps to set the pictures.

• Go to “settings” and click on “personalization”.
• Under “lock screen” tab, select the option from the drop box as “picture”.
• Then under “choose your picture” option, click on any picture and go to the lock screen, check whether the issue persists or not.
