Windows 10: Right click gets frozen for a couple of seconds after the system is idle for some time

Hey all,so i have a bit of an issuenot sure if its just me or windows 11 in general.So i used windows 11 for a little bit over a month and i had some weird issue.Its basically happens when i leave the pc at idle for a while,for example letting the pc download a game or just simply going away while the pc is on .And sometimes after a while when i right click on the desktop the menu doesnt appear,it takes few seconds to do it and it seems to be frozen if i can describe it correctly. But after 3,4 seconds the menu appears and everything is fine and dandy.Now this only happens if the pc is left

System idle process spike

Although you may have a problem that is causing fps drops, "System Idle Process" isn't what's causing it.

When "CPU usage" for System Idle Process is high, that means that your CPU is not doing much useful work.

Idle, noun:

• not working or active; unemployed; doing nothing: idle workers.
  
• not spent or filled with activity: idle hours.
  

When System Idle Process shows as 30%, what's taking up the majority of the rest of the CPU cycles? That's probably the source of the problem.

 

Multiple Stop Codes While System is Idle

Hi Microsoft team,

I've been getting a series of system crashes. These happen when the system is idle (not asleep). This problem has started recently and I can't tie it to any particular hardware or software change. Errors seen:

1. 0x0000003B
   
2. 0xc0000005
   
3. 0x00000116
   

Steps I've taken:

1. Clean install of graphics drivers
   
2. SFC
   
3. Memory test (memtest86)

Entering Away Mode instead of Sleep as a result of system idle?

Thanks for your comment - your solution would surely work as well!

What I ended up doing is that...

1. I set the system's sleep & hibernation timer to "Never" as you suggested and...
   
2. I created a .bat file, which sends the system into sleep after a certain idle period. Due to my Away Mode Policy, the computer does not go to normal Sleep, but instead goes into Away Mode instead, because the .bat file is considered as "User intiated action"
   
3. I then scheduled the .bat file to be run after a certain time period of idle with Task Scheduler
