Windows 10: Right clicking on desktop while having a game in borderless window mode opens up the game...

Recently got a new pc, everything has been great so far except whenever I'm playing a game in borderless windowed mode, if I press windows+d to get to the desktop and try to right click anything it just goes back to the game instead of the right click menu

which doesn't open a game bar, is there another way to disable? Some kind of workaround?

Thank you for providing us the troubleshooting steps that you have performed.

I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.
  
• 
  Under Compatibility tab, check the option for ‘Run in Compatibility mode’.
  
• 
  Select Windows 8.1 from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Click on Apply and then OK.

Steam games in windowed mode?

right click the game and go to properties, then click "set launch options"

then you can enter the arguments for windowed mode, usually -w or something like that. you can find these probably by right clicking on the game in the list and go to "view forum"

probably not alt-tab since that's for switching programs
