Ripped CD is stored in "Other Media" on WMP. Where is this folder found?

I ripped a new CD, a Sony CD produced in the EU, and the ripped info didn't appear in the Music folder, but rather in "Other Media." I would like to burn this CD to a flash drive to listen to it in my auto I have a Honda Civic that lacks a CD player. However I can't find the Other Media folder anywhere, and I've looked everywhere I can imagine, including all the libraries. Is this CD in a different format? Does it have a 'do not copy' feature? No rush here, just curious, and mildly annoyed at my inability to locate the music files. Thanks in advanceBruce

    Rip cds on WMP

After you finish ripping a CD, move the tracks to a different folder.

The real way to do this is to let WMP download CD information from the internet. That way all four CDs will be uniquely identified.

  3. WMP Rip To Library

I use Windows Media Player to rip audiobook CDs to my hard drive.

When I start a new audiobook I open WMP, click tools, options, rip music.

Under rip music to this location I click change and select the folder that I want the files to go into. Then click okay and apply.

This morning I found that the files have been going to WMP-music.

I tried twice to send the files to the proper location but the options keep resetting to WMP-music.

I have ben ripping audiobook files using WMP for over a year and no problems.

    What do you suggest?

  4. Ripped CD is stored in "Other Media" on WMP. Where is this folder found?

    WMP 12 won't rip some CD's in Windows 10

I am having a problem ripping some CD's with WMP, in Windows 10. I get the following error message: "WMP cannot download media information for this CD. The tracks, artists and album will be identified as "Unknown"
in your library. For best results, Connect to the internet or manually add media information for the CD.
    "

I was expecting the CD to be ripped under "Unknown" artist but the CD ejects once I select OK, in the error window. These are new, store bought, commercial CD's.

What can I do to fix this?

    Thanx
