Not saving - Rise Of The Tomb Raider

Hey,

I recently bought Rise Of The Tomb Raider on the Microsoft Store. However, when I try saving the game it just comes up with the save icon but never actually saves (nor does it auto save or make any save file either). I've tried multiple times and got quite
far but lost that data because the game isn't saving.

Is there anything I can do to solve this? Any help would be appreciated!

 

in the new benchmark im getting 2 fps less in DX12 than DX11 ingame performance is up especially in the geothermic valley i was getting 50-55fps there now its over 60 . the patch also gives a new AO setting in DX11, VXAO its an fps killler though *Smile

 

I just bought this game yesterday only because of the Direct X12 "support" AND READING the latest patch notes below:





Does anyone see in those notes that yet again, just like Gears of War, multi GPU/SLI doesn't work with Direct X 12 enabled. Nope! It's not mentioned. It runs like crap for me with only one GPU working. Average frames 50 but MINIMUM frames down to two at some points. There's a Steam thread about this, growing as we speak.

Waiting so long for Direct X 12, Gears of War and now this with Tomb Raider. I'm getting just a little tired of it, especially not telling us the full story when they boast about Dx 12 "support". At what price? One GPU dead is too high for me.

 

BTW, Steam is great. Look how quickly they move on my refund request. Thank you Steam.

 

you refunded the game because sli isnt working? you should have seen how bad it was when the game released. how many games have you played with good day one sli support? i mean "out of the box" not a profile you had to force through nvidia inspector? the patch has barely released i would have expected issues , especially with sli . Gears of wars shocking support is down to the windows store and their launcher a differant issue altogether. Its your cash im not saying you should keep the game if you dont want to im just wondering what you were expecting? Its sli *Biggrin

 

The ONLY game I had SLI issues with out of the box is Gears of War and now Tomb Raider. All the Battlefield games have 98% scaling from the get go, along with simulators, flight, racing (F1), Witcher 3 and the list goes on.

Look at the Dev's comments on the Tomb Raider direct x 12 patch, knowing that multi gpu support isn't currently working.

"And there is a never before seen level of control over NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFireX configurations, which means that as a developer we can take full control over those systems and ensure users get a great experience with them."

More than a few comments like this in response to that article:





I wouldn't have bought my car if the electronics system wasn't working, nor my condo if the flooring wasn't installed nor should I pay for Rise of the Tomb Raider hoping that some day it will perform in Direct X 12 AS ADVERTISED. Bottom line, it's not worth $6 to me as it is, never mind $69. Hope you get that message, Jurjen Katsman. and the Microsoft Direct X 12 team.

"After all it's SLI". Ya, there are so many PC gamers I know who will never go with multi GPU's again, like me. Nvidia and AMD over time will pay for that, and the most significant fuel to that fire at this time is Direct X 12.
