Windows 10: Roblox crashing upon launching, espesially during VR.

Hello, today I tried launching Roblox on my VR headset, but when I try to launch the program, Roblox immediately crashes. No error code or pop up, it just shows the Roblox beta app launcher for half a second, and crashes. I checked task manager it does not say "32bit", cleared start up programs, reinstalled twice and did a clean install, removing every trace of old data, updating my GPU twice, nothing. Roblox keeps crashing

So I downloaded roblox on Microsoft Store and launched it. But when it said checking for updates, it crashed immediately. Other apps work fine, except roblox. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

 

[Windows 11] Roblox Windows App Crashes on Launch

Hey all! It's in the title. The Roblox app which you install from the Windows App Store always crashes on launch, and I don't know why. It just happened all of a sudden. And yes, I have tried following the steps shown here and it still won't work.

If anyone has potential solutions, that would be great! Thanks everyone!

 

Whenever i open roblox steam vr opens someone tell me why

I tried this fix and this did not resolve. I set both RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe and RobloxPlayerBeta.exe to run as administrator. Fired it up, game still loads in VR. Turning off VR in the Roblox settings doesn't make a difference either - it at least displays on the screen, but still loads Steam VR, turns everything on, routes audio through the helmet and puts the Steam box in the middle of your window. And closing it quits the game.

Here's something that does work though (although you have to do this every time the folder is recreated, but at least it works):

1. Open File Explorer (manila folder icon near your start button)
   
2. In the quick access bar at the top, type %localappdata% and press enter
   
3. Find the folder called "openvr" and delete it
   
4. Launch your game
   

This will at least work until you reboot. You may have to delete it a second time as there are rare occurrences where it rebuilds itself right away, but usually it doesn't.

I hope there's a permanent fix for this soon because it's been going on for over a year and it's super annoying.
