Windows 10: Roblox suddenly runs super laggy

Hi , been using Roblox games daily for over almost 2 years and then about a week ago, any game is ok for between 1-10 mins, then they run super slow and come to almost a stop.

All web page browsing is fine unless I try after playing Roblox

Laptop is 5 years old.

Intel Core i3-5005U 2.0 GHz,3MB l3 Cache

Intel HD Graphics 5500, up to 4181 MB Dynamic Video Memory

8 GB DDR3 L Memory

1000GB HDD


It does only appear to be when using Roblox that this problem occurs although some other race games occasionally slow but never as bad.


Is this my laptop ie GPU or harddrive or Roblox.

I have taken the laptop to factory settings and followed all advice on re- downloading Roblox, system scan, virus and malware checking etc... and there is no change.


I would be greatful to hear any thoughts / ideas on this before I feel I have to buy another!

Windows 10 Roblox problem

There are several reasons as to why you can't play Roblox on your computer. Windows Updates may affect the game not to play if your computer is not updated. To make sure that your Windows 10 is up to date, I suggest that you check for any Windows Update
by using this link as your guide.

In addition, make sure that Roblox is allowed to run on your Chrome by performing the following steps:

• Download Roblox and run its setup file.
• After the game has been installed, try to run it.
• You should get a message box saying “External Protocol Request”. Check
  Remember my choice for all links of this type and click Launch Application.

If the issue persists, I suggest that you use another web browser on your computer to check if that helps.

Laptop randomly became super laggy and now can’t change brightness

I was on my laptop yesterday and everything was running fine. My laptop is normally slow and games can be a bit laggy, but still bearable. Randomly, it restarted and ever since that, games have been extremely laggy. It lags and glitches in the main menu.
I cant even play games anymore due it turning super laggy out of no where. Additionally, i can no longer change the brightness of my laptop. There’s no way i can change it now. I went on settings and the brightness settings vanished.

Super confused with what happened to my laptop.
