  1. Robocopy Backup Files are no longer visible or accessible

I've been using Robocopy for years to backup folders. All of a sudden, my backup folders and files are no longer visible or accessible. I've tried removing system and hidden file attributes which I never had to do before but that didn't help. I've also tried all the "solutions" I've found on the internet, and none have worked. I'm backing up folders on a Windows 11 PC to an external hard drive. The backup files are being copied to the external drive and taking up space, but I can't see them or access them. Any help will be appreciated. MM

    :)

    Robocopy for backup file

You are right GoodSync has the ability to do the required tasks, and so also GsRichcopy 360 and Teracopy have the required features to sync the data in use, mirror, copy changes only and move data.
and if you would love to use robocopy there are some similar posts that you can check, maybe the scripts in it can help

    Robocopy backup won't work

I tried to use the built-in Windows program called Robocopy to back up my files using the following command on the command line:

    robocopy Documents J:\robocopy /e

This command works fine on my laptop

But it would not work on my desktop computer for some reason

It just shows the very command that I typed over and over again repeating the command over and over on a new line each time, and it doesn't copy the files. There is no explanation for why.

On the other hand, using Windows Backup / File History works just fine, but I don't want to use Windows Backup because I don't like the format that the files are saved in.

Why isn't Robocopy working? How do I solve this?

Robocopy Backup Files are no longer visible or accessible

Having batch file backup problem...help if u can!

They aren't, there hasn't been an update to richcopy in years, and it isn't perfect.

I used to use robocopy backup scripts for my backups, but I'm too old/lazy to write scripts for every backup so I just use FBackup now. Plus I like that FBackup will use the volume shadow copy, so files in use still get backed up, which robocopy won't do.
