    Robocopy Backup Script Won't Run after Fresh Install Windows 10


    I have been using a Robocopy backup script for years and it won't run successfully when using Command Prompt or Task Scheduler. It was working fine before installing new SSD drive and Windows 10.


    Any suggestions?

    Robocopy script no longer works after Windows 10 upgrade

    I don't think it is a compatibility issue. The application runs and it is installed with the windows upgrade. It is the Windows 10 version of RoboCopy that is generating an error running the script that ran under the previous version of RoboCopy. When
    I copied the old version of robocopy.exe from the Windows.old folder, the script runs but the log output is not formatted.

    What do I need to do to run the new version of robocopy so that it does not generate an error? Is it security? New syntax?

    I am running the script as an administrator.
