Windows 10: Rockstar Games files being deleted by Onedrive

When I open Rockstar Games to play gta I get pop-ups from Onedrive saying ""Deleted files are removed everywhere" and when I check the recycling bin, I see a bunch of files from Rockstar in there. Then Rockstar Games starts to have trouble loading and signing in and stops working. This happens to some of my other games like Assetto Corsa but never happens to my steam games. How do I fix this?

I don't believe so. I don't remember when the latest update for the headset was released. But it did coincide ofc with the release of the Rockstar Games launcher.

Update: so now the rockstar games launcher is not reporting any crashes. I uploaded the most recent one to my onedrive. however the game continues to not load. So now I have no idea how to continue. Could you scan the log and tell me if anything looks wrong?

 

Rockstar Launcher creating sync error in onedrive

Hi, i hope someone smarter than myself is able to figure this out.

I installed rockstars launcher than comes with GTA V and the upcoming pc release of RDR2.

However, as it apparently installs into the c:/users/documents folder, im getting consistent errors that because rockstar is running, i cannot sync the onedrive files.

Ill attach a photo.

its obviously a permissions error, i just dont know how to solve it. I did try unselecting the sync of the rockstar folder, but it automatically reselected it on a PC restart.

Any ideas?

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
