Windows 10: Rocvery folder winUCRD.wim file in hp

hello i need serious help regarding recovery of my files and data i have hp ennvy laptop last night it was droped from my hands and it i restarted it it worked ok but when i wake up in morning i restarted it stuck and windows section not moving forward so i remove the hard disk and changed it with other but all of my data is on other drive i thought i can take it out by putting it in hard drive enclosure and connecting it to pc but i can open or see any of files when i connected the drive to my pc i seen the recovery folder named as l and G folder in recovery folder i see winUCRD.wim file can i recover all my data from that wim file including files and folders if i boot from that image please help me out i am noob in this recovery stuff

Compacting a wim file?

Sorry, no idea where to put this. I just recently learned how to use dism. I use it to slipstream all hotfixes and ie10 ect into an AIO install disc. The problem is, it creates a huge install.wim after 8 index mounts and slipstreams. Considering all 8 images use the same darn wim and files, don't know why it has to increase the wim size by 1gig. Either I need to figure out how to use the same wim.install file for all indexes, or I need to compact the wim file which is now 4gbs with ie10 and all updates to April. Any way to do either?

Actually it turns out the answer is the dism that comes with Win8. Using the new Export-Image command, and a simple batch file, was able to compress my AIO wim by several hundred mbs.
