Windows 10: Rode Procaster and Windows 10

After looking around for a few hours attempting to discover why my Rode Procaster microphone will not work anymore, I concluded that it was because Microsoft has not come out with the necessary drivers in Windows 10 to make it work.


Is Microsoft currently working on this problem or should I send a request to Microsoft to send me the amount necessary to replace the microphone?

Livestream Procaster won't open in Windows 10?

So I downloaded Livestream Procaster to record speedpaints. It was working fine at first -- more than fine, actually. My last laptop had Windows 8 and Procaster lagged so badly that I couldn't use it, but it was working 100% smoothly with my new laptop which
runs Windows 10. A few days ago, however, an error message popped up from the Procaster while I was recording and I haven't been able to open it since. I've tried to repair the program, I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it countless times, but no matter
what I do, I can't get Procaster to open; I double click on the icon and nothing happens. When I reinstall the program and check the box to launch Procaster right then and there, again nothing happens.

I do have HyperCam to record with, but the Procaster had way better quality and the video files it created were small (compared to HyperCam's video files which are so large that it takes Movie Maker forever to load it). Is there anything I can do to fix
Procaster?

 

Rode Podcaster not working win 10

Hi guys, I have a rode podcaster I cannot get working on a windows 10 machine.

everything is up to date. here is the spec:





Ive download the rode ASIO drivers as well as the setup utility from rode. None of it works.

The PC recognised the mic, but picks up zero sound. Ive troubleshooter, nothing there.

Any suggestions?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
