Windows 10: Rollback firmware on asus laptop

I recently got my bios updated when i scanned for updates in the device manager for the firmware. But now undervolting is impossible and my ThrottleStop profiles are basically useless. I'm sure its related to the plundervolt issues with intel cpus and tried searching in the bios if it could be re enabled. Turns out on my asus gx701's bios doesn't allow that.

So i wondered if I could go back to the previous version of the firmware using the rollback option in device manager. Is it safe to do so ?
