Windows 10: Rotation Lock Grayed Out on HP Spectre x360

I turned my rotation lock on on my HP Spectre convertible laptop to keep portrait mode up for a night, but now that I want to unlock it, I can't! The button is grayed out on the menu bar on the side. I've tried to go into Settings itself, but it's grayed out there too. I have already tried both flipping b/w landscape and portrait AND restarting my laptop. What can I do? Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi all,

I have a 2017 HP Spectre x360 with Windows 10 Home. Everything works great, except I can't rotation lock. WIN+O doesn't do anything. The display does rotate if I turn the device, but I want to be able to lock it.

I can manaully change the option in Display settings and back but nothing I do enables the button.

Any ideas?

 

HP x360 Spectre Windows Hello No Longer Working

Thanks for the suggestion. For reference (for people coming after me trying to find a solution), the steps Lee is suggesting are as follows:

• Device Security > Security Processor Details > Security Processor Troubleshooting > Clear TPM

Appreciate the help, Lee, but resetting the TPM using the process above didn't work. All it did was make me reset my PIN and sign in again via my Microsoft account. As I mentioned in my initial post, I have an HP Spectre
x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx, so I've been using the drivers found here:

Also as I mentioned, the latest drivers are installed - that's always my first go-to solution (other than turning it off and on again! ).

Any other suggestions?
