    All I want to do is lock the rotation on my Windows 10 HP Spectre laptop so all my open windows don't shift around if I pick it up sideways. Okay, I see there's a Rotation Lock right under the notification center menu. This should be so simple...Rotation Lock is greyed out.But there's more. It stops being greyed out if I switch to portrait mode or tablet mode. I can easily toggle the lock in those orientations. But in the regular, standard landscape orientation... I can't?!When I go to the Rotation Lock toggle in Settings, it tells me Rotation Lock is on. It's greyed out in the on position. I

    hp spectre 360 is unable to adjust the rotation lock mode after windows 10 upgrade

    I noticed that when I bend my HP Spectre 360 in tent mode the screen doesn't rotate. Before I upgraded from windows 8.1 this worked flawlessly. I can find the 'rotation lock' setting, but won't let me unlock it, it's just dim meaning it's untouchable.
    Any help would be appreciated. This laptop was great with 8.1, windows 10 is great but 8.1 seems to be made for this laptop, close to changing back!

    Rotation Lock Grayed Out


    Hi all,

    I have a 2017 HP Spectre x360 with Windows 10 Home. Everything works great, except I can't rotation lock. WIN+O doesn't do anything. The display does rotate if I turn the device, but I want to be able to lock it.

    I can manaully change the option in Display settings and back but nothing I do enables the button.

    Any ideas?
